LCM Celebrates Success of 2014 Walk Event
Great day! Great walk! Great event to help those in need in our community!!
On a beautiful sunny morning, about 350 individuals and members of 35 teams combined to raise 
over $48,000 for Lake Christian Ministries at the 3rd Annual Jim Cameron Memorial Walk on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Smith Mountain Lake State Park in Huddleston.

The top fundraisers were The Park Place Pacers, $4,725; Bethlehem United Methodist Footprints, $3,602; Moneta Lions Club, $2,550; and Trinity Ecumenical Parish's men's breakfast club, $2,545.
Named in honor of former LCM director, Jim Cameron, much of the support shown for the event this year was a reflection of Cameron’s passion as well as the community’s commitment to helping others, organizers agree.

The families served by LCM include seniors, children, and individuals struggling with job loss, low income, disability, family disruptions and other difficult situations. In a loving Christian atmosphere, LCM provides food, clothing, essential household items and emergency financial aid, all within the boundaries of a $327,000 annual operational budget.
