Office Manager - Job Summary
Job Purpose: The Office Manager provides assistance to the Executive Director and Department Managers to support the operations of Lake Christian Ministries (LCM) and its mission to provide services that assist individuals and families struggling with poverty. This is a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) non-exempt staff position and reports to the Executive Director.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Provides assistance to LCM’s Executive Director and Department Managers to support service delivery and document income and expenses
- Prepares computer system for daily service operation and reports technology issues to the Executive Director and Technology Manager.
- Maintains a database of client activity; volunteer information; and donor records to support reporting and communication with the three groups.
- Creates monthly food assistance reports for Feeding America Southwest VA.
- Manages layout, printing and distribution of the LCM quarterly newsletters to supporters.
- Handles written and oral communication with donors to acknowledge donations.
- Manages written and oral communication with community partners to share information about LCM programs and special events.
- Assists the Executive Director with LCM participation in community initiatives, networks and outreach efforts.
- Communicates with clients as needed to schedule or confirm LCM service appointments and update records.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products; basic PC protocol and maintenance; and a comfort level or desire to learn InDesign software.
- Experience with databases is preferred and an ability to learn to maintain Apricot case management software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and “follow-up” abilities required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to take direction but also be a self-starter; solutions oriented; and timely and punctual.
