Paul's at home resting after completing the AT*
*As an FYI - I will be hiking the Appalachian Trail from South to North, but with a slight twist. I will start at Damascus, Virginia and traverse my way to Mt. Katahdin, Maine, and then immediately travel south to Georgia, to continue the trip from Springer Mountain
back up to Damascus. Three reasons for this route: 1) avoids most of the congestion of the thru-hikers all starting at Springer about the same time; 2) ensures reaching Katahdin before any weather sets in that could potentially cancel the hike; & 3) enables me to hike the Smokies amidst the colors and beauty of the Fall Season.
